Job Summary:
You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing advanced infrastructure solutions within a Microsoft ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for architecting secure, scalable, and efficient Windows Server environments and Azure cloud platforms to support business operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure services, and cloud architecture, combined with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Architecture:
- Lead the architecture and design of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Architect Azure solutions that include Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, and Azure Site Recovery.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure that the designed solutions meet business needs and are aligned with company standards and best practices.
- Develop high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions that integrate on-premises and Azure resources.
Implementation and Management:
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Windows Server environments, ensuring they are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.
- Implement Azure services, ensuring they are aligned with security policies, performance requirements, and business needs.
- Manage Azure resources, including cost optimization, scaling, and automation through tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, and Terraform.
- Perform migrations from on-premises infrastructure to Azure, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that all Windows Server and Azure environments adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, such as data encryption, identity and access management, and network security.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement and manage identity and access management solutions using Azure Active Directory and related technologies.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to IT teams and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Windows Server and Azure architecture.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture, configurations, procedures, and policies.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and architecture.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and managing Azure environments.
- Proven experience in cloud migration projects and hybrid cloud architecture.
Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
- ITIL, CISSP, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Azure Storage.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and ARM templates.
- Experience with identity and access management, including MFA, SSO, and RBAC.
