A global technology company is looking to hire a Senior Data Privacy Engineer to join their Privacy Engineering team.
This position requires a hands-on developer with very strong knowledge of privacy regulations, data analytics and data security. You will interface with senior leaders in Legal, Product, and Security, so ability to be technical and communicate is essential.
The role is based in Mountain View, CA and will require a hybrid work schedule. There may be relocation assistance provided upon an offer. This company can sponsor visas.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 6+ years' experience in Data Privacy, Information Security, Data Analytics, or Software Development is required
- Experience with CPRA, CCPA, GDPR regulations and how they impact data analytics, classification, governance
- Strong expertise in data privacy technology, including databases, pipelines, storage, labelling
- Strong coding and automation with Python
- Working knowledge of Privacy by Design
- Evaluating new market trends in Privacy Technology and educating product and compliance teams in their use case
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Relevant certifications including CISSP, CIPM, CIPP, CDPSE, CIPT strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of other US state privacy regulations, including: VCDPA (Virginia), CPA (Colorado), and CTDPA (Connecticut)
