Network Consultant for Leading Managed Service Provider

Job Description:
Are you an experienced network consultant looking to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity with a leading semiconductor company through our managed service provider. The successful candidate will join the IT and Network Infrastructure Team, working on-site near Milan with the possibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, install, and design LAN architectures in Campus and Data-Center environments.
- Work with advanced router protocols such as OSPF and BGP using VRF.
- Configure controller-based WiFi networks with advanced authentication and policing systems.
- Handle campus security management and Data Center bases, including firewalling.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in the management, implementation, and design of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Minimum Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching certification with expertise in OSPF and BGP.
- Proficiency in switch configuration for LAN Campus networks (e.g., MST, 802.1Q, VSS, Port-Channel protocols).
- Ability to manage solutions and configure Cisco Nexus 2000, 5000, Catalyst 65xx, and 9xxx devices with in-depth knowledge of related protocols.
- Knowledge and implementation capabilities of Cisco WiFi solutions (Classic controller-based and Cloud Meraki solution).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in LAN, WAN, and WiFi networks.
- Experience in network security with Cisco ASA platforms and PaloAlto.
- Familiarity with the Cisco ACI platform and Cisco Nexus Data Center.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementation and operations.
- Availability for on-duty shifts, typically one week every four weeks.
- Proficient in English; Italian language skills are a bonus.
