Our client is a well-established company in the retail industry who are experiencing an increased demand for data analytics as they continue to expand and optimize their operations. To support this demand, they are seeking a skilled Data Analyst for a 12-month contract position. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing actionable insights and data-driven recommendations that drive business decisions across various teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex retail data sets and deliver actionable insights to key stakeholders
- Provide adhoc reports and automated reporting solutions to monitor business performance.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to provide real-time insights.
- Work with other members on the data team to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources using SQL and Python
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to help predict future business needs and optimize retail operations.
- Work closely with business leaders, marketing teams, and operations to understand business challenges and provide data-driven solutions that support strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-driven role.
- At least 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
- Highly skilled in Python as a programming language for data analysis and scripting (e.g., pandas, NumPy, data cleaning, etc.).
- Strong experience in SQL and expertise in Power BI to create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- The ability to truly understand the data you're working with, find areas of concern or opportunity and action them appropriately.
