We are looking for a highly autonomous Azure Cloud Migration Engineer to support a critical project migrating on-premise Windows Server applications to Microsoft Azure. The role requires strong expertise in cloud migration strategies, including refactoring, rehosting, or rebuilding applications, and the ability to assess and propose the best migration path.
- Analyze existing on-premise Windows Server applications to define the optimal migration approach.
- Propose and implement cloud migration strategies, ensuring scalability, performance, and security in Azure.
- Collaborate closely with the tech lead and team to define application architecture in the cloud.
- Work independently to assess application composition and recommend technical solutions.
- Provide insights into Azure security best practices as part of the migration.
- Share knowledge and support a small, agile team in upskilling and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in migrating on-prem applications to Azure Cloud.
- Proficiency in Windows Server environments.
- Development background in .NET (ability to understand and work with application code).
- Experience defining cloud migration strategies (rehosting, refactoring, rebuilding).
- Azure security knowledge for architecture and implementation.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently within a small, fast-paced team.
- Strong communication skills for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
